As we already know there are 6 different studies that we must develop when thinking about making a Project; Political, Economical, social, technical, ecological and legal in which our Project has to be viable. But is it really necessary for our Project to be viable in each of the studies? What if it doesn´t accomplish with only one of them?
The studies are the way to ensure the viability of the Project. They are the solid base to start building and is a must for our Project to be viable in each of them; even though it doesn´t mean that is going to be a success, just because is viable in each one, because there is always going to be the possibility of failure; but failure is ensured when the Project is missing one.
For example, the Project of the road that goes from Cienaga Grande to Barranquilla was built dividing the Mangrove swamp between the side that is fed with the waters from the Sierra Nevada´s rivers and the one that is fed with the ocean´s water, even though the built the road with some holes for the Mangrove swamp to fluid between the two sides they were not enough and they were not a 100% functional as they got stuck and caused both sides environmental damaged that affected hundreds of species in the water lowering the fishing activities and as matter of fact the economy of the surrounding Magdalena´s small towns who´s life are based on the fishing activities. That is the reason why we have to deep in into the environment of our Project through the different studies so we can gather all the required information that can support its viability, by checking government and local’s development plans, checking official documents, make the necessary studies in the areas that are going to be impacted, check the statistics and population benefits.
